Video Blackjack or Live Blackjack

Video blackjack machines are available at many online casinos today. These machines offer players the same blackjack they would get with a live dealer but oftentimes players still like to see the live dealer. Let’s look at the advantages and disadvantages to both versions of online blackjack.

Video blackjack machines oftentimes have a lower limit than live blackjack tables so that makes them an attractive option for players with a limited bankroll. Video blackjack machines may also have more favorable rules for the players. For example, you might have a video blackjack machine where you get surrender options, double up after split options, etc. Live blackjack may not offer those choices to the players.

Some people like live dealers but keep in mind that live dealers can make mistakes while the computer dealer will not make mistakes. There are no issues with mistakes with a video blackjack machine because the computer handles all of the action.

It is definitely easier to count cards if you play with a live dealer but this is an advantage only if you can actually count cards effectively and if you are playing with a single deck that is not shuffled after every hand.

There are positives and negatives for both video blackjack and live blackjack but for the most part the best option is to play video blackjack because it is a better game for the player.
