Most Costly Blackjack Hand Mistakes
When people play online blackjack they can make more
money by avoiding mistakes. Let’s look at the most costly mistakes
players make with their hands when playing online blackjack.
1 – Hitting 13 against a Dealer’s
2
When you hit the 13 against the dealer’s 2 you will lose extra
money over the long run. You should always stand with the 13 when
the dealer’s up card is a 2.
2 – Splitting 3’s against the Dealer’s
8
You will want to split those 3’s against the dealer’s
8 but don’t do it. It costs you more money in the long run.
Just hit the 3’s and hope for the best.
3 - Hitting 3/3 against the Dealer’s 2
You always want to split in this situation as the dealer is weak and
you want to have more money in action.
4 – Standing on Soft 18 against the Dealer’s
Ace
When the dealer is showing an ace in blackjack you are in trouble.
You actually lose less in the long run by hitting the soft 18 instead
of standing. This is a tough one to do but the math says to hit.
5 – Doubling Soft 17 against the Dealer’s
2
The deuce is the toughest up card to handle in online blackjack. In
this case you are betting off standing on the soft 17 instead of doubling.
It is the same situation when you have a soft 18.
6 – Standing on 16 against the Dealer’s
Ten, Jack, Queen, King or Ace
So many people will stand with 16 but the math says hitting is the
best option in the long run.
