Blackjack is basic

When we learn about gambling games we usually start out with a game known as blackjack. This game is easy to learn and is fast moving and is a lot of fun.

The basic version we learn is presented as the only way to play blackjack but later on in life some of us start to get serious about the game and that’s when we discover what we know and what we need to know are at opposite ends of the educational gaming scale.

Let’s look at one aspect of the online blackjack and that is whether to hit or stand according to the dealer’s up card. This is basic information and some of the information changes when using more than one deck but at this time one deck is all that we are looking at.

You always want to hit if you have 11 or less. If you have 17 or more on a hard hand you always stand. If you have 12-16 and the dealer has 2-6 then you stand. If you have 12-16 and the dealer has a 7 or more you hit. When the dealer has 2-6 and you have 11 or less you double down.

This basic aspect of when to hit and stand will help you as you begin to play online blackjack.
